The Reed

We grow the Reed — a round, low-fibre, almost custard-like avocado that most Indians have never tasted fresh.

Unlike the Hass, it stays green when ripe. You read it by feel: press gently under the stem, and it’s ready when it just gives.

Reed vs. Hass

Why the fruit you receive behaves differently to the supermarket avocado.

Reed Hass
Shape Round Pear-shaped
Skin when ripe Stays green Darkens
Flesh Buttery, low-fibre Nutty, firmer
